Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My tattoo honors my father and grandfather, both cancer warriors who passed on. An eagle, strong and protective, holds a ribbon split in their colors. Below the ribbon rests a flower, symbolizing growth in the midst of grief, followed by a life symbol and the Eye of Horus. A Chinese elephant puzzle piece symbolizes wisdom, and a clock marks the moment my father passed. Above my hand, a “Sister” heart reflects my bond with my sisters. If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would say, you are not alone, you are not broken, you are a warrior! I carry the pain, the fight, and the victory. My ink would speak with the voice of survival. It would tell the story not only of the people I’ve lost—my father and grandfather, but also of the battle I fought myself. Just last year, I faced cancer head-on, and I beat it. This tattoo became more than a tribute. It became a badge of strength.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win the $25,000, I would put it toward purchasing a new home for me and my kids. Life has presented some challenges, and I’ve faced setbacks, but this money would help me create a fresh start. It would provide a stable, loving space for my family, giving us the security and comfort we need to move forward and build a brighter future together.
