Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My daughter was the inspiration for my latest tattoo. Due to my disabilities including EDS, MS, and many other diagnoses, I don’t get to see her a lot. There’s a lot of surgeries and everything. I wanted something I can look at on me to remind me of her, she loved elephants as a young child and splashing in the puddles. Her father doesn’t believe in doctors and care so I am fighting. I see this tat every minute of the day and I smile.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would say a lot. It would say I miss you, I’m here fighting, I can’t get to you due to 10 surgeries in less than two years. It’s the memories. Splashing in the water after a good rain, Aubrianna squeezing her favorite elephant that I had bought her and many other elephants, hugging her, singing her to sleep, and watching her sleep, and being reminded of how lucky I am to have her.

What would you do with the $25,000?

We would pay off the debt we have incurred in the past three years. We incurred the debt because it’s just my husband and I, he cannot get paid to take care of me due to us being married, and so he hasn’t worked because of it. I can’t be alone so he is with me 24/7. We would get a lawyer for family court. I would get a second vehicle. We would get the surgery I desperately need because the insurance is fighting me on it.
