Learn MoreMy most recent tattoo began as a cover up that turned into something better than anything I could’ve imagined. The Japanese traditional style snake and peony on my leg/knee was covering up an illustrative style piece that just didn’t quite turn out the way I had pictured and I reached out to an artist that I hadn’t been tattooed by in ten years and together, but mostly him, we created this incredible piece that also resulted in me finally getting pet snake.
If your ink could speak, what would it say? That even though I’m almost 30 years old I’m still figuring out who I am as a person. I’ve collected a lot of different styles of tattoos and they’re all pretty stark representations of different phases of my life and what I related to at the time. At 29 I reached out to an artist from when I was 19, and I’m starting to come full circle and find my way back to my authentic self.
What would you do with the $25,000?Let’s be real, we live in some tough times right now. I’d like to think the first thing I’d do is be responsible and pay off some debt and put some into savings. And then I think I would buy some really extravagant gifts for my friends and family. And then maybe I would finally convince my dad to get a matching tattoo with me. I would also donate to the Ritter Center which is my community outreach center to provide food, housing, and healthcare.
