Olivia Hom

I have a Medusa tattoo I got during college (placed on my upper rib area) to represent my fierceness and similarity to her story.

What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo was supposed to represent some of my best memories with college friends, however, it is now a reminder of a very negative memory (happy to share more in person, 500 characters isn’t enough room). I would love to have it covered with something that captures my ability to stay resilient despite negative experiences and life’s many challenges. Although the original tattoo will always be there, I’d love for something beautiful and creative to cover it.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

“I’ve seen a lot but I’m here to strengthen and protect”

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the money to help start my Asian streetwear clothing brand. I’ve had a lifelong passion for creative fashion design and have been designing since I could first draw. My brand’s name is House of Manners, a reference to my last name Hom and my mission is to create honest community and bring Asian fashion and culture to the mainstream. While I am still in the initial stages of building my brand, this money would help me keep my clothing ethically and sustainably sourced.
