My most recent piece was inspired by my desire to step back in the the fantasy world of childhood and adapt it to my adult lifestyle. I have the tattoo of the Eat Me cookie in the treasure box from Alice in Wonderland. I am under 5' and as a child I often got picked on because of my height. I choose to put that tattoo on my box. If your ink could speak, what would it say?My piece on my thigh would say that even though I have always felt bound and exposed because of the abuse I suffered as a child and the consequences of my choices in addiction as an adult I have the opportunity to share my story with others and make a difference in their lives. When I share my story of what I have overcome and still struggle, it will one day become their survival guide.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the money to rent my own apartment and buy a used car to get back and forth to school and work and the rest would be used to help others create their path to recovery from addiction.
