My sleeve is a tribute to complexity—the beauty, the struggle, the transformation. The sad girl face at the center represents moments in my life when I carried pain, but still kept moving. The flowers around her head are like a crown—symbolizing growth and resilience that bloomed despite hard seasons.The butterflies represent the many times I’ve evolved The Mardi Gras mask represents celebration and mystery. The parts of me I’ve protected.

I am her story in color and shade. I carry her sorrow, her strength, her silence.I bloomed where she broke. I flew when she was grounded.I transformed as she healed.Behind my mask is joy, mystery, and a thousand untold truths.I’m not just ink—I’m a mirror of everything she’s survived,everything she’s still becoming.

What would you do with the $25,000?

After serving 20 years in the military and recently retiring, I know the value of resilience, discipline, and purpose. I’d use part of the money to pour into myself—maybe a well-deserved trip, a wellness retreat, or time to rest and reset after two decades of service.I’d put it toward something that reflects my next chapter, creating a platform or program that empowers other women,especially women veterans!
