Enter For FreeMy most recent piece begins at my ear and ends at my trap. It consist of my birth flowers wrapped around a 222, which is my birthday. It has a bumble bee, because I feel as though I am someone who takes the good from one person and spreads it to another. I like to pollinate people. I wanted to add one more creature to the piece and my three-year-old daughter chose an inchworm. Worms have always been her favorite animal. “They’re just so cute and special” she says.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink tells the story of a woman who has went through many chapters in life. A barber sleeve, for my passion and career. “Stay wild” for my soul mate who passed at 27. “1-19-21” for my living brother, who anchored me during my young wild years. “Male tears on the rocks” for my heart break era. “Divine” for my faith in the universe. And so much more.
What would you do with the $25,000?In 2018 I went to barbering school full time, and worked at 2 different shops apprenticing. I’ve came so far. In the last few years I’ve put my ALL into this. My clientele has increased. I have an apprentice working under me. I’m furthering my hair education. Building a brand for myself. If all stays the same, I’m on track for my own shop in 18 months! But this economy and single parenthood is taxing. The money would fuel my dreams and brighten my daughter’s future.
