I got inked when my marriage, kids and friendships were suffering while was I working on my university degree. It was during the long, cold, dark Alaskan winter. We didn't know it yet, but my young daughter had started to show symptoms of leukemia. I felt lost and pulled in too many directions. I needed a reminder of my inner strength.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?Be brave. Stand your ground. Be the color in the dark. During my daughter's chemo, we learned to "scream all you want, just stay still." That means: the bad stuff is going to happen, you don't have to like it, but just dig in and get it done. That's the strength I try to have.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000 I would get my husband into a better truck. Then we would travel to meet my mother-in-law in person, and to see other family and friends in the Lower 48. Maybe see a concert and buy some rocks.
