Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo is a line in my dad’s handwriting that reads, “I’ll see you in my dreams.” It’s something he used to say to me—and after losing him, it became a promise I hold onto. It’s more than ink; it’s a fragment of him I carry, a quiet comfort and a permanent reminder that love echoes, even in absence.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my ink could speak, it would say: “You’ve survived every storm they said would break you.” Each piece—whether it’s my father’s words, the vines winding around my arms, or the bull skull watching over me—is a symbol of strength, memory, and becoming. My tattoos don’t just decorate me—they narrate me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’d start by paying off my credit card—lifting that weight would give me room to breathe and reset. The rest, I’d donate to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Their work in education, advocacy, and support saves lives and gives hope to people who feel unseen. After losing someone I love, I want to help be a small part of the light someone else might need to stay.
