What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo is a back piece that consists of two cranes. The main inspiration behind this piece is my love for birds and my appreciation for the fact that some are monogamous. After recently splitting from my son’s father, this piece was extremely empowering for me. The placement on my back is a reminder for me that the past doesn’t define what’s to come.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

In this world full of AI responses, art & everything in between… tattoos speak the truth. They tell our story, whether it be cultural, spiritual, familial, or maybe even just a goofy night with a friend you get to remember forever. It’s our testimony to who we are. If my ink could speak it would tell you my story. The people, moments & knowledge that have touched my soul, now live on my body to remind me of what’s molded me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’m a licensed full specialist & I recently made the jump to start my own business. With the transition into being a newly single mom & business owner, the pressure is unreal. With $25,000, I could invest in a savings account to have an emergency fund growing so I know my son will always be okay, even while I’m taking these big risks for us. Financial fear can be debilitating, especially with a child depending on you. To have this reassurance would give me great confidence.
