My ink tells the story of the dragonfly as it signifies beauty and change in some cultures. Change is beautiful, and empowering.

What inspired your most recent tattoo?

The love of my life passed away almost a year ago. He was 36 and lost his battle to a mental illness. I decided to honor him by living my life to the fullest and continue to add to all of my wonderful art of dragonflies that I already had. Life is full of change. You never know what life has in store for you. Live each day like it's your last. No regrets.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

Even though this woman has endured so much in her life, she continues to see the beauty in every day she lives and tries to always help others in need as well. She always will be a warrior striving for a beautiful well lived life.

What would you do with the $25,000?

As someone who also works in healthcare, I would donate a large portion to Doctors Without Borders for their work in third world countries. Then I would, most definitely, go to Europe and travel the Camino de Santiago. Also known as the Way of Saint James on foot.
