The morning I was scheduled to get this tattoo, my mom was diagnosed with leukemia. I still showed up to the appointment. What started as a tribute to one of my favorite baseball players became something much deeper…a symbol of everything my family and I were about to fight through. Now, it’s for her. It’s for all the strength we’ve had to find since that day.
