Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

Last year I got the chance to go to Ireland for the first time for a project & I have family heritage there. I was inspired to get a Triskelion tattoo in Dublin, which is an ancient symbol of the Goddess Brigit and of the Triple Goddess myth. The connection to feminine power and strength is so important, so every time I see the tattoo on my left forearm I think positively. What it means to me is reinforcing beauty and creative power, things that uplift my life.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My tattoos are mostly nature imagery: flowers, birds, a dragonfly, bees and honeycomb. This artwork speaks of the forests and jungles, rural and urban, that I’ve journeyed through in my life as I’ve collected lessons, come through trials & hardships, stepped up for myself. My ink says “I have overcome, succeeded, grown with my goals”. My ink is my intention to honor my sobriety, a choice I made to elevate my life in best health. To never forget what I’ve accomp

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’ve really thought about this and what I want the most is to finish my Associates degree and move on to get my Bachelor’s degree. When I was younger (16-17 yrs) I had to drop out of high school in upstate NY, get a job and couldn’t go to college. Years later I began taking online classes and doing certificate programs but I still need to finalize a degree. But more importantly, as a single mom, I want to inspire my daughter and make her feel proud of me as I achieve this life
