Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

It’s a cross with a crown of thorns (struggle), surrounded by three roses (love). Black and white realism brings a deep meaning to life without needing color to speak loudly. This tattoo reminds me to embrace sacrifice for a greater good and honors the three women who give my life purpose. This tattoo inspired my daughter’s name Isla Rose.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my ink could speak, it would tell a story of struggle, sacrifice, and purpose. It would speak of battles fought, both within and beyond. The large tattoo of St. George, patron saint of soldiers, stands as courage against fear and in part influenced our son’s name. The worn Corinthian armor reflects resilience, the cross and roses honor love and faith, and the crossed cannons signify service. Every piece is a reminder of who I am, what I’ve faced, what I stand for and who has walke

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000 prize, I’d use it to pay off our car loan. It would ease the financial stress that comes with constant military moves. As a family with two young children, the prize would provide stability and allow us to focus on building a secure future. Maybe even break the cycle of renting and begin to budget for a family vacation to build lasting memories.
