Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo(s) were additions to my life piece. Every piece of art on me is a person who means a lot to me. I have been working on this piece for over 10 years. It starts at the top of my back and it ends in the wineglass on my calf. Tattoos bring me joy, a chance for my ideas, my art, to be forever memorialized on my body.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

The banner across the top that starts my life piece, says "I will not be broken," a testament to surviving a near death experience at the hands of a loved one. The guitar is one of my dads, who inspired my love of music and taught me how to play. Every rose on my body stands for my mother, who was beautiful inside and out. I also have her memorial tattoo on est - a sunflower. It was going to be our tattoo. Music and family are my passion.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off all my debt and give myself a clean slate to improve my life. I want to be able to give back to people, and help those who are in need. I want to start a business. I want to give my daughter the things she wants/needs. I want to contribute to the household in meaningful ways and give back to my soon-to-be husband for how much he's taken care of me. I want to finish my accounting degree and not worry if I will be able to afford the next semester. There's so much I would do.
