Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

A portrait of my recently passed dog- Beatrice. She was the light of my life for 13 years. There through every trauma and every success. This tattoo has the most significance and importance to me. She’s on my forearm so I can always be assured my sweet girl is still close by and with me, snorting (pug) and cuddling and being of constant comfort. The happiness and ease she brought me is what I’ll continue to try and find in this life. Through my own artwork I’m always channeling

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

They would tell a story of the last 12 years of my life. Several of my tattoos are my own designs, so I think they would speak to where I was at in that point in time. Plants and flora are personal growth, animals are major life revelations and Mandalas are accepting the now as it is. Each one has its own story to tell. I’ve also done a couple of my own tattoos (aspiring tattoo artist) so those ones in particular have a larger story to tell of wanting to share my art with the world.

What would you do with the $25,000?

This would help me to pay down student loan dept, which would essentially give me the financial freedom to try and pursue a tattooing career and make my main focus art and learning the trade. This has been a dream of mine for 10 years but being from a small town, professional apprenticeships are beyond few and far between. Having the financial freedom would be the catalyst for me to be in a city and try to legitimately pursue my dreams and career goals.
