Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo is a seven-sided star, which my uncle drew the stencil of back in the 90s. My dad, uncle, and Grandpa all have this tattoo and I have wanted it since I was a kid but the stencil was missing until this year. After years of going through old tattoo zines and magazines from my dad, I finally found it and immediately booked the appointment, making this a third gen tattoo.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

In a weird sort of way, my ink has spoke before. I have a tattoo on my wrist which helped me finish my first book, one on my stomach which is mirrored so when I get ready in the morning I can read it to remind me of how far I've come, and my other tattoos just validate me for who I am...so I guess it's safe to say my tattoos would be very supportive of me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would love to say something fun and interesting like travel the world, but my father recently got into a major car accident, had to leave his job because of it, and lost the car that he's had for over a decade. I would get him a car first, because he means the world to me. With the remaining money, I would use it to help pay for my Fall semester of graduate school since I am so, so broke.
