Learn MoreMy most recent tattoo was a trio of fillers from a new artist in my neighborhood. She had some cute flash and I finally have enough big tattoos to start filling in some spaces with smaller, fun tattoos. Prior to that I got the opportunity to get work by an artist I have been following for a while now that does finer line blackwork, (think chains, shiny blacks, bit of a Johnny Gloom style).
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink would say collect whatever tattoos as you would collect any other art you love. You don’t have to wait for some sublime meaning - great if you have one but you don’t have to let that prevent you from getting tattoos just because you like them.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I’m being practical- I would love to use it to help buy a house in the city that I live in. As someone who’s worked in the arts it’s not easy in an expensive city. Slightly less practically - I would use it to get more tattoos! Struggling with my weight my whole life getting tattoos has helped my reclaim and love my body parts again in a world that makes you think you’re worthless if not perfect. Anything else I would use it to take more free time to experience life, m
