Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

I searched 30 years to find where I came from. In college, I failed cloning my own DNA, desperate to exist. I finally found my ancient Celtic roots—chieftains of Ireland—and tattooed that legacy on my skin. But the real miracle? A woman who’d searched 35 years found me… my daughter. My tattoo isn’t just heritage—it’s a symbol of being found, of connection, of history meeting destiny. I found my people—and my child.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my ink could speak, it would tell of a 30-year search for my Celtic roots—chieftains, druids, kings—and the 35-year journey of a daughter I never knew, who was searching for me. It would show DNA strands merging with ancient symbols, battles, and stars. My tattoo says: I am the blood of ancestors and the bond of reunion. I found my people—and my legacy found me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won, I’d use half the funds to go to Ireland for the first time—walk the land of my ancestors, visit their graves, and stand on the Hill of Tara where they once ruled. I’d take my 85-year-old father, who just discovered his lineage too. The rest would help others find their roots—and mark it with a tattoo. My daughter and I would share one too—a symbol that will never let us be separated again. We must know our past to truly find our path.
