Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My mom passed away at a young age, and so many of the things she loved—especially in pop culture—feel frozen in time. They’re a reminder that she never got to see the world as it is now, never got to grow old. I like to honor her through those little pieces of her era. One way I did that was by getting a piece inspired by Labyrinth, one of her favorite movies. If your ink could speak, what would it say?

Each piece tells my story—honoring my great-grandparents who raised me, my kids, from my autistic son to my daughter who beat leukemia at 4, and every battle I’ve fought—through college, homelessness, and now reshaping the funeral industry. These symbols reflect the people, pain, and power that molded me into the badass woman I am today. It’s more than ink—it’s legacy, strength, and survival.

What would you do with the $25,000?

As a single mom who’s overcome homelessness, student debt, and raising amazing kids—including an autistic son and a daughter who beat leukemia—$25K would mean a stable home and a real shot at a future I never had. Every tattoo tells my journey—from my great-grandparents’ love to my fight to change the funeral industry. This isn’t just for me—it’s to jumpstart a better life for them.
