My godmother recently passed. We didn’t have much in common, but we bonded over Ink Master and always wanted me to get a tattoo for her. While visiting her in hospice, I joked, “What tattoo should I finally get for you?” She said a teacup with an ant in it, since we called her “Auntie.” That day, I got a Victorian teacup with a black ant as the maker’s mark. I showed her the next day and it made her smile. She passed the day after.
