Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My Bat and his blackberry home is my most recent tattoo. growing up I was very close to my grandmother and one of my favorite movies to watch with her was Ferngully. this movie really helped me understand and appreciate nature.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I feel like my ink is very warm and welcoming just like my personality, however, the closer to my heart you get, the less beautiful nature can get, and it can become a lot more thorny to protect itself. Many bad things have happened to me and touched me in my life, but that doesn’t mean I’m an ugly disaster. In ways, trauma can be beautiful.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I grew up in a very tough, rough, and poor living situation. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve always tried to give back. I have been working in child welfare for the past five years since I graduated college. As much as I love giving back, it doesn’t allow me to save enough money to buy a home. And buying a home is my biggest dream. I want something that somebody cannot take away from me. I want something that I have earned.
