My fish-scale arm was my first big piece, and was done in one session. It was inspired by my love of the sea and pirate history. My back piece is inspired by my heritage; I am half Filipino, and therefore wanted to have half of my back done in traditional Filipino tribal. I was going to stop there, but my recent piece (my right arm sleeve) is a continuation of the Batok theme. It serves to hide my scars that I had on my shoulder, but also to illustrate some of my family, pets, and core values.

What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest it in my education and art career. I would look into getting my scale arm finished, as I've always wanted to partially fill in some of the scales to make it appear more fish-like instead of fishnet-looking.
