What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo commemorates Amy Winehouse and my Navy background. An anchor, it is also symbolic of my role in my home, community and business. It is inspired by the idea of staying grounded through all of life's changes. No matter how crazy things get, the anchor reminds me to stay true to myself and hold steady. It also symbolizes strength and resilience — two things I’ve really come to value in my journey.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my ink could speak, it would say, 'You crazy tough-ass bitch you've been through storms and rock bottoms and you’re still standing. Keep going.' It would be a constant voice of encouragement and strength.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000, I’d invest it into me! I'd of course, add a few more (several) tattoos that tell the next chapters of my story, invest some in my small business, and definitely travel to places that inspire me. I am 50 next year and I am determined to have the gift of a lifetime. I was not a celebrated child so I want to celebrate myself and the journey of becoming the best me I never thought I could be!
