Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

The concept came to me during Covid but was delayed due to restrictions. Then I was diagnosed with diabetes in early 2022. That is when I started my weight loss journey to give myself a better quality of life. Tahoe is where I have lived for 20+ plus years, where I have built a life, where I’ve gone through struggles, loss, a pandemic & heartbreak. But it’s also where I have grown, evolved, bounced back better and stronger. I have lost 130lbs since my diagnosis and have my health

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my tattoo could speak, it would tell you that Tahoe is the place that built me, then broke me down & helped build me up again. It’s where I learned to be a mom, a friend, a partner. It’s where I learned to grow through the things that are painful and break you in life because they get you to the most beautiful parts of your life. It will tell you to hold on, that beautiful things are coming. All of the best and worst parts of my life have been here, my Ode to Tahoe.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I started my own health coaching business in 2024 and winning the $25,000 would help me make my dream to do that as my full time career a reality. Through my own journey dealing with diabetes, losing weight and getting healthy I realized my passion for helping others struggling with obesity, diabetes and insulin resistance. I have a strong desire to help others achieve their health goals in a sustainable way to give them a better quality of life. My journey changed mine forever.
