My most recent tattoo was inspired by my father. Sadly, he passed 19 years ago but I had the Aztec God of Death “ Mictlantecuhtli” tattooed. The Aztecs believed that people's souls would journey through the underworld, eventually reaching Mictlantecuhtli.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?“If ink could speak, it would tell a story of resilience, love, and the beauty of mistakes. The tattoos born from pain would echo tales of survival, while those inspired by love would sing of connections and mexica joy. Even the mistakes and regretful ink would laugh, reminding me that life is a delightful chaos. Each mark would be a chapter in my journey, celebrating the complexity of who I am; a Chicana who is alive and wants to do more than just survive.”
What would you do with the $25,000?Man, oh man! $25,000 would be a huge blessing for my family. A single mother of 5. Just trying to survive out here like everybody else. I’d invest, pay off some debts. Pay off rent for the year. Live a little more comfortable. Every day is a struggle. So to be able to have stuff paid off and be worry free is the ultimate prize!
