Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

The inspiration for my newest tattoo is my daughter. She came at a time in my life where I was at my lowest. I was at the end of my rope in my addiction and didn’t know how to or what to do to help myself. The day I found out I was pregnant I dropped everything and never looked back. She saved me from my addiction and from my own self.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would tell the story of the woman I am and not who people think I am. I would tell you that even though at one point in my life I was battling drug addiction and alcohol abuse for over 10 years, I’m 2 years into my sobriety. I’m not the girl whose ex husband tried to kill and shot multiple times, I wear the scars of my past and learned lessons from all the trauma I’ve experienced. What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to get my license back after 8 years due to my own stupidity during my active addiction. I would pay off a reliable car. Then I’d save whatever was left to make sure I never have to worry and I can give my daughter the life she deserves.
