Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo is an eagle ray added to my leg sleeve in memory of my Dad, Kevin, who passed away in 2023 while fishing-his greatest passion. The last fish he caught that day was an eagle ray. I had moved to the USA for work and wasn’t home for the 9 months leading up to his passing, which made his death especially painful. He was part of a fishing club and had been proudly selected to fish at the nationals in Mexico. This tattoo honors his spirit and our bond.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If all my ink could speak, it would tell stories of love, loss, loyalty, and survival. My dogs on my arm speak of companionship. The ocean sleeve honors my dad and my Cancer soul. And beneath it all, it quietly covers the scars from when I was mauled by five dogs. My ink would say: “You’ve turned pain into art, and fear into strength. You wear your healing boldly-and nothing about you hides anymore.”

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25k, I’d honor my dad’s memory by traveling to Mexico, where he was meant to compete in a national fishing event. I’d invest in my future abroad-through education, creative projects, or building a life that reflects the strength behind my story. And to mark the moment forever, I’d get a small ‘Inked Master’ tattoo-something subtle but powerful-as a tribute to the journey and what this win would mean to me.
