Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My inspiration for the tattoo was really just a play on life in general. I wanted a ship tattoo on my nautical arm and the concept of a ship in a bottle spoke to me because this journey, as full of people as it is, always still takes place in your own head. There is storm in the bottle that represents the struggle. Life is beautiful, but it’s a grind. The seas are never calm and it’s always an adventure.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

Wear sunscreen, you crazy bastard!! All the time, money, and dedication you’ve taken into decorating this 300 pound temple of twisted steel and sex appeal and you can’t spare $5 and 60 seconds to spread a little SPF over the VIP? Shame on you, bro! Shame! Was that too literal? It would also tell you I’m beautifully broken, but I haven’t let it dim my light.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Deposits it in the bank and let it be a nest egg for my family and I. My wife and I have created 4 beautiful children in our nineteen years together. I had to close my business down in January and go back to work at the refinery. Trying to make it as an entrepreneur in this economy are though our savings. $25k would go a long way in loosening the tension in these shoulders because that load has been heavy.
