My ink tells the story of my life; past, present, and future. From the depths of the oceans, to peaks of mountains and the Universe beyond.

Learn MoreMy latest inspiration is an Octopus, which is a symbol of intelligence, resilience, and adaptability. It has taken the form of a leg sleeve in the Irezumi style, with water bars and Japanese finger waves framing the creature, wrapped around my thigh and calf. As a water sign (Pisces), this tattoo reinforces my connection to the oceans and inspires me to be the best version of myself as I navigate this life.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink would tell quite the story… from adventures in the estuaries of the islands where I was raised, to my journey through forests and mountains, swept by wind and carved by water. It would tell of my battles, my scars, my failures, and my victories; of the dragon who watches over my back, and of my ancestors who protect and guide me every day. It would speak to the endless expanse of the Universe in which I dream, and the life that continues to unfold in front of me.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the prize to honor the ancient art of Tattoo and fulfill my lifelong dream of traveling to Japan and getting inked by one of the great living Irezumi masters. I have the privilege of carrying these living works of art to my death on the canvas that is my skin, and could think of no better way to continue these traditions, while telling my unique story through my tattoos.
