I got the Buddhist symbol Unalome on my forearm, repressing my path to enlightenment. My life has been such drastic changes. Middle class American kid to working middle class drywaller to street addict to higher educated home owner. Dreams of achieving freedom for my family and myself. Finding my self in the mist of pain beauty and understanding. Growing closer to god not in a religious way but rather a spiritual way.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?Currently it says I’ve made bad decisions but love my family. Once I can afford to I want to cover my back and put new ink on that shows I am a survived and provider. Somebody who can connect to all walks of life from the streets to the church from poverty to politics. I want it to speak perseverance success and love.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to cover my back tattoo, it’s ghetto and doesn’t speak to who I am not just who I was. I would collab yet with an amazing artist who can help me bring to life my story via art work. Show my daughters my love and dedication to them, my friends that are gone that they live on through my words and actions.
