my most recent tattoo was inspired by my other tattoos, and the work of the artist making it. it's a stylized filler piece, weaving through the patchwork pieces on my forearm sleeve. we did a trade, i tatted them and they tatted me. ultimately it's a tattoo about tattooing, tattoos, and community.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?my ink would talk about the complicated beauty of transformation, how it's cool to be eclectic and difficult to describe, and how if you're devoted to making something happen, there is always a way to do it.
What would you do with the $25,000?i would put some toward palestinian relief, pay my rent for a few months, go on a little vacation for the first time in many years, get a couple dream tattoos, a couple piercings, some new needles for experimenting in my own tattoo work, and put some of it towards producing my album. i would also buy my cat some premium food, and a tower. a gift for my mom. take my family out to dinner a couple of times, and save a little bit for a rainy day.
