Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

I was inspired by knights and how their armor was a source of protection for them, but also the person in the inside the armor. I am that person in the armor. Navigating, learning, and fighting for what matters throughout my life. From deploying and working with refugees to escaping a totalitarian controlling cult. If your ink could speak, what would it say?

“My role isn’t an easy one, but it’s the single greatest privilege I’ve had. My existence has helped shape and fortify the person that carry’s me. That, I am proud of. My metal plates may have scratches and blood, but the metal still stands the test. My chains may face a lot of tension, but they don’t budge. What would you do with the $25,000?

When I left the cult, I hit rock bottom back in August, 2024. I was homeless and a few weeks after I was rear ended on the highway and lost my car. This award would significantly help me to find a used car that will get me from point A to point B. $10,000 would go towards a car. The next $10,000 I would donate to give.ADRA.org which is an organization that helps through humanitarian aid, very similar to roles I served during my deployment. The last $5,000 would go to my savings for emergencies.
